CITY OF FARMERS BRANCH ANIMAL ADOPTION CENTER:  The City of Farmers Branch and a volunteer group Cause for Paws (initiated by Judi Hacker)  together have by far exceeded standard city obligations in housing and placing animals. The city has proven to be highly progressive in changing their approach to newer and better practices, seeks to extend the animals life at all cost possible and seeking a new home with a dedication generally found only in no-kill rescue groups. Both city and Cause for Paws have organized countless events to further adoptions and awareness and on top, are consistently encouraging citizens to engage in responsible dog ownership.   To see available animals, please click here!

PAWS IN THE CITY is a wonderful rescue group based on volunteers, whose primary goal is ending abuse, neglect and overpopulation of animals in the Dallas area.  The group has developed a large network of foster homes throughout the Metroplex and has been successful at placing even the most unfortunate of dogs who were  sometimes literally 'thrown away' by their previous owners. Paws in the City has pulled animals out of city shelters to save them from death as a final resort and has helped in saving the lives of many wonderful dogs and cats who deserved a second chance and a loving home. Also dedicated to providing new owners with resources Paws in the City invest in training and evaluating animals before/ during placement.
