"I like to focus on establishing a proper bond between humans and canines, as a team, based on respect and trust, instead of fear and intimidation. Anybody can teach a dog to sit, but it takes more than a trick to live with a canine and enforce that trick under stressful circumstances. Not learning to communicate with them, on our part, goes against the basic idea of owning a dog."
Nicole St. Clair, Founder of BikerDogz.net & Head trainer
After receiving her Bachelors in Linguistics, Nicole St.Clair focused her interest on the communications between canine and human relationships. Nicole has been in dog training since 2006 and has experiences ranging from Search & Rescue Cadaver work to Narcotics detection.
She joined the GAP group (Gifted Animal Placement), IACP, and CSAR and received certifications from the ABKA and AKC. Currently her work includes group and individual training for basic obedience, behavior modification, family readiness and awareness, body language and rehabilitation, both for handler and dog.
After certification with the AKC as a Canine Good Citizen evaluator in early 2008, Nicole now offers classes and evaluations for handler teams. In addition, she expanded her business to include exercise programs for canines who live in busy families, who often do not get a chance to add on the canine needs. Besides biking and walking dogs, Nicole also offers in home pet care, and remains active in the rescue community. Cause for Paws and Paws in the City continue to consult Nicole with shelter dogs before and after placement.
Nicole lives in Allen, TX with her daughter Chantelle, husband Joe and her four canine buddies Speedy, Zoe, Max and Jessie and her cats while attending Graduate school at UTD in Language & Translation Studies.
